WOODSTOCK YOGA
CLASSES + TEACHERS
This work is lovingly dedicated to Barbara Boris, whose unexpected passing changed everything, and whose spirit continues to guide us all. For years, she held Woodstock Yoga Center with care, devotion, and integrity, creating a home for practice, connection, and healing. Taking stewardship of this studio is an honor I do not take lightly. This next chapter is rooted in her legacy and carried forward with love.
With great gratitude, Lea Garnier, director
LIZ ZABEL
Liz feels like this is a full-circle moment in her life. Over 30 years ago, as a weekender at the time, she first walked into this studio and took her first Woodstock class - the rest is history. Liz received her yoga certification in 2008 in this very space. She began teaching community classes in 2009. She believes that everyone should have the opportunity to practice yoga (even her husband). Liz managed the Emerson Spa until the COVID shutdown. In addition to running the spa, she helped develop the yoga and fitness department. She has found that teaching yoga helps to keep balance in her life. Liz is delighted to be back in the building where it all began, teaching yoga in a safe, accessible space for practitioners of all levels.
